Indonesia - Gayo Serinen Hybrid Washed

Serinen comes from the Gayo highlands of Sumatra, where the name reflects a local idea of brotherhood and mutual support between smallholder farmers and producers.

This lot uses a hybrid fermentation process, bringing out a different expression of Gayo coffee.

For us, it leans towards deeper, brown-fruit flavours rather than something bright and tropical. There’s a rich molasses-like sweetness, followed by a cinnamon-like spice and a lingering dark chocolate finish.

Comforting, sweet, and surprisingly complex.
