About Bad Artist Coffee Co
We’re an independent micro coffee roastery and coffee space based in SS2, Petaling Jaya.
We roast in small batches, curate coffees from around the world and help people discover what they genuinely enjoy drinking.
Our menu is simple. We’re serious about coffee—just not too serious about ourselves.

Beginnings
Bad Artist began at home, with Han learning to roast coffee through trial, error and plenty of curiosity.
What started as a personal obsession gradually became a micro roastery, and eventually, a physical coffee space in SS2. Today, we’re a small team roasting, brewing, tasting and packing coffee under one roof.
The space has grown, but the curiosity that started it hasn’t changed.

How Bad Can It Be?
Specialty coffee can sometimes feel intimidating. There are brewing ratios, processing methods, tasting notes and plenty of opinions about the correct way to drink it.
We believe coffee should invite curiosity rather than create pressure.
Like making art, brewing coffee involves experimenting, making mistakes and developing your own point of view. You don’t need to know everything before you begin. You just have to be willing to try.
That idea continues to shape everything we do—from the coffees we select to the way we serve them.
Our Coffee
We look for coffees with character.
Some are familiar and comforting. Others are bright, floral, unusual or a little wild. Our seasonal selection travels across Asia, Africa and the Americas, featuring approachable house blends alongside distinctive single-origin coffees.
We roast each coffee in small batches, with the intention of preserving what makes it unique while keeping it enjoyable.
Our job isn’t to tell you what you should like. It’s to help you find something that makes sense for you.
Our Space
Our SS2 space is part coffee bar, part working roastery and part meeting place.
Come by for a quick takeaway, stay for a filter coffee, bring some beans home or ask us as many brewing questions as you like. Whether you’re completely new to specialty coffee or already deep into it, there’s a seat for you here.
