For our African selection this month, we’ve chosen a washed Kenyan coffee from Kagumo Factory. Established in the mid-1950s as a sisal processing facility, Kagumo later transitioned into coffee production and is now supported by several cooperative societies, including the Aguthi Farmers Cooperative Society. The factory processes both natural and washed coffees. This lot features Kenya’s native SL28 and SL34 varietals, celebrated for their vibrant and distinctive flavor profiles. True to form, this coffee showcases classic notes of blackcurrant and roselle with exceptional clarity. We’re always drawn to clean, expressive cups, and this coffee delivers exactly that.
